Archdiocese of Dublin seeks new Communications Officer

The Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin is looking for a new communications officer to lead the internal communications within the Archdiocese, and external communications with wider society.

It is an exciting time in the Archdiocese, with a new Archbishop in post, along with the undertaking of many pastoral initiatives such as: restructuring plans being developed, and hope-filled ministries and services being delivered every day of the year.

The communications officer is a key appointment who will be located within the Dublin Diocesan Offices, under the direction of the Moderator of the Diocesan Curia. S/he will work closely with Archbishop Dermot Farrell and will need to understand the work of the many and varied skilled professionals operating within the diocesan family including pastoral and ministry activity, education, finance, safeguarding, archives, governance, legal and the general secretariat. In turn these offices support the 197 parishes, the schools, and special ministries such as hospitals, prisons and colleges around the Archdiocese.

The communications officer will also work closely with priests, deacons and parish pastoral workers as well as members of Religious Congregations working in the Archdiocese.

The closing date for applications is 21 January next, and more information can be found on www.activelink.ie/node/87384
